- Payment conditions
Within 5 days after receiving our confirmation of booking, 25% of the total rent must be paid in advance or the entire amount if the arrival date is within 45 days of the desired stay. Only after we have received your deposit, your reservation is final.
The remaining amount (75% of the total rent) must be transferred 6 weeks prior to your 1st day of arrival.
You can transfer the amounts to account number NL 98 RABO 0306074613 on the name of UF Smid e/o in The Hague (note: RABO is with a letter O followed by the number 0) and BIC/Swift RABONL2U). As soon as the total amount has been transferred, we will send you the details for access apartment Haags Huisje by e-mail.
2. Safety deposit
We require a deposit of €300. After the approval of the person who takes care of the final check, you will receive your deposit back (within 2 weeks) by bank transfer. In case of damage, loss, contamination or complains from the neighbors, (part of) the deposit will be retained. You will be notified in writing about this.
3. Cancellation
* If canceled more than 42 days before arrival date, the cancellation costs are 25% of the total rent
* If canceled up to 42 days before arrival date, the cancellation costs are 60% of the total rent
* If canceled up to 14 days before arrival date, 90% of the total rent
* After that 100% of the total rent
If canceled during the stay, no refund will be made.
With your 1. payment of 25% you agree to the above and below conditions of rental.
4. Insurance
We recommend to have a travel and cancellation insurance for unforeseen circumstances.
5. Arrival
On the day of arrival, the apartment is available from 16:00.
Check the house for damage and/or defects. Please notify us of any damage and/or defects as soon as possible. We try to resolve this as soon as possible. You can contact us by telephone/email or via what’s app (tel +31 (0)6-24779880). Report damage that occurs during your stay as soon as possible.
In the unlikely event of damage, we distinguish between 2 types of damage:
1. Damage caused by you: Report these damage to us asap. Example: you break crockery, lose accessories. We ensure that the damage is repaired and/or that replacement materials are replenished. However, you will be charged.
2. Damage caused by wear and tear. You must report these damages to us as soon as possible, so that we can arrange for repair or replacement. Examples are: damage to appliances, such as dishwasher, washing machine, TV, central heating, etc. We make every effort to provide a repair or replacement as soon as possible, but since in some cases we depend on third parties and the type of repair/replacement we cannot guarantee in advance that a suitable solution is available within your stay in the house. For example: we can quickly replace a television by placing a replacement TV, and for example a broken washing machine requires the availability of a repairman and parts in stock and can therefore take a few days.
6. Departure
On the day of departure, please leave the house before 10:00.
7. Liability
HaagsHuisje accepts no liability for accidents, damage to property of the guest, theft and the like. Tip: have a travel insurance for these types of incidents.
8. Force Majeure
If HaagsHuisje has to cancel the booking due to force majeure, the full amount paid will be refunded to the guest. HaagsHuisje cannot be held liable for additional costs incurred.

House rules
We have a number of specific rules that we ask to follow. In case of non-compliance with these internal regulations, the owner may reserve the right to withhold (part of the) deposit due to longer cleaning duration and/or early replacement and/or shipping costs and/or other (unnecessary) costs.
• Smoking is not allowed in the house, nor at the outside door/window;
• Pets are not allowed in the house;
• No groups younger than 27 years are allowed;
• You have booked the house for the number of people stated on your confirmation, deviating from the booked number of guests is only possible in consultation with us; Extra costs may supply;
• We have furnished the house with care, we hope that you appreciate it and that you also handle our belongings with care, as if it were your own;
• To prevent damage to furniture and the house itself, the furniture, cupboards and beds may not be moved;
• Brought or rented bicycles can be placed in the front yard or elsewhere outside;
When you leave:
• We ask you to leave the house clean and tidy;
• Take all food out of the cupboards and fridge;
• Unload and turn off the dishwasher;
• Wash the remaining dishes, dry them and put them back in their original position;
• Remove the beds and put the linen in the hall;
• Cleaning the combination microwave and hob;
• Return all used items to their original location;
• Empty all waste bins (from the kitchen and bathroom) into the appropriate container in the Van Heurnstraat or the corner of Van Egmondestraat/ Van de Wateringelaan;
• Take all your luggage with you and check that you haven’t forgotten anything;
• Close all windows and doors;
• If you have forgotten something, we request that you notify us as soon as possible;
• Leave the parking permit and parking disc in the house on the dining table.
